2017 Jeep Key Fob Not Detected. I believe if the battery in your key fob is dead, you can press the start/stop button with the key fob to get it going. But the RFID chip still works the same way, BUT the RFID chip is in the butt of the key FOB (the opposite end of the opening to put the key ring through).

I got in and went to press the start button."Keyfob not Detected" I tried to hold the fob up to the steering column. If you don't have a spare FOB, GET ONE! Before the fob battery was replaced it was every other satart up.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?
